1. Good physical mechanics performance

The density of the FRP pipe is usually about 1.8－2.1g /cm3 ,which is a quarter of steel. And it is also higher than that of the cast iron and the plastic material. On one hand, the weight of the FRP pipe is usually not above that of the pipe with the same specification by one third, and It has good physical mechanics performance (please look at Table 1, 2, 3, and 4). On the other hand, the thermal expansion coefficient of the FRP pipe is generally corresponding to that of the steel, while its heat conduction coefficient is only 0.5% that of the steel. Thus it is a good thermal and electrical insulating material. 

2. Being resistant to chemical erosion and longer service life

FRP is characterized with special ability to resist chemical erosion, so maybe it is the better choice for you by the different medium under the environment of full of pipe nets.It can be used about 50years.

3. Excellent hydraulic characteristics

Since the hydraulic characteristics is the important one for the FRP pipe, good hydraulic characteristics means the less losses of liquid pressure. If the pump with smaller diameter or with smaller power is chosen, the early investment for the pipe project will be reduced, and the electricity will also be used less. Hence the less operating cost.  

4. Lower installation and keeping cost

Generally speaking, the FRP pipe needs no special antiseptic treatment; the thermal layer could be thinner, even without thermal treatment; the pipe is lighter so that the lifting equipment only needs small tonnage and has smaller power consume; the single pipe is so long that is convenient for operating.  

5. Flexible design and shorter reform term

The FRP pipe is made of fiber-reinforced material soaked with resin matrix that is winded on the core mould layer by layer according to the certain process, and finally its is done by condensing process. Now that the pipe wall is a kind of layer structure, its physical and chemical characteristics can be adjusted by changing the resin system or adopting different reinforcing material in order to suit different FRP pipe with various pressure level or with certain special characteristics made from different medium and working conditions. Shorter reform term is another significant feature of the filament winding composite material, and other metal pipe material with the same characteristics can’t be better than it.

6. No pollution for medium

Because of the FRP pipe’s high connecting density, being tasteless, odorless, nontoxic, free from impurity or scale or micro-living or bacteria or iron, it won’t pollute the medium transported through itself.
